Landis

LANDIS forest growth and biomass module for a single species-age cohort. Tracks aboveground living biomass B and dead woody biomass D_wood under three coupled processes: growth (peaked ANPP function of B_AP = B/B_POT), mortality (logistic biomass-dependent M_BIO + exponential age-dependent M_AGE), and decomposition (M_total - k·D_wood). Migrated from Vegetation.jl src/landis_biomass.jl:28. All quantities in SI base units (kg/m^2 for biomass, seconds for time); upstream paper uses Mg/ha and years (1 Mg/ha = 0.1 kg/m^2, 1 yr = 3.15576e7 s).
