ERA5 SINGLE-LEVEL (surface) regridding model — the coupler half of the era5 single-level loader+regridding-model split. Exposes ERA5 near-surface fields — 10 m wind (u10, v10), 2 m temperature (t2m), 2 m dewpoint (d2m) — on the simulation's target grid for coupling into EarthSciML systems. This is the single-level counterpart of era5.esm (pressure-level); it is preferred where genuine near-surface met is needed over terrain, because a 1000 hPa pressure level is at/below ground over elevated terrain.

ERA5 regridding model — the coupler half of the era5 loader+regridding-model split (RFC pure-io-data-loaders §6/§7; bead esm-3nc.1). Exposes ERA5 ECMWF Reanalysis 5th Generation pressure-level fields on the simulation's target grid for coupling into EarthSciML systems.
