Classical-Nucleation-Theory

nucleation
Simplified single-component classical nucleation rate (Eq. 11.47) from Seinfeld & Pandis (2006), Chapter 11. Computes only the steady-state nucleation rate J from the Zeldovich pre-exponential factor and the free-energy-barrier exponential. Use this component when the critical-cluster properties (i*, r*, ΔG*) are not needed; see the Nucleation component for the full coupled system.
- CriticalCluster

aerosol
nucleation
Critical cluster properties for classical homogeneous nucleation theory following Seinfeld & Pandis (2006), Chapter 11, Equations 11.27, 11.35, 11.52, and 11.53. Computes the dimensionless surface tension parameter (theta), critical cluster size (i*), critical radius (r*), and free energy barrier (ΔG*) as purely algebraic functions of temperature, saturation ratio, surface tension, and molecular volume. Use this component for parameter sensitivity studies or when the full nucleation rate (ClassicalNucleationRate) is not needed.
- Nucleation

aerosol
nucleation
Full coupled homogeneous nucleation system following classical nucleation theory from Seinfeld & Pandis (2006), Chapter 11. Derives saturation ratio and monomer concentration from partial pressures, then computes critical cluster properties (size, radius, free-energy barrier) and the nucleation rate J. Use this component when the full coupled system is needed; see ClassicalNucleationRate for a lighter variant that takes S and N_1 as direct parameters.
