Aqueous_transport

model
aerosol
transport
Correction factor Q for the aqueous-phase reaction rate when intra-droplet diffusion limits access to the reactive interior (Seinfeld & Pandis 2006, Chapter 12, Eqs. 12.105 and 12.110). Computes the dimensionless Hatta number q = R_p √(k_rxn/D_aq) and the corresponding correction factor Q = 3(q·coth q − 1)/q², which scales the effective reaction rate from the well-mixed limit (Q = 1) down toward zero as the droplet becomes increasingly diffusion-limited. - DropletMassBalance
model
aerosol
transport
Coupled gas-phase and aqueous-phase mass balance for cloud droplet chemistry. Tracks the time evolution of bulk gas-phase partial pressure and aqueous-phase concentration, including gas-to-aqueous mass transfer and aqueous-phase chemical reaction (Seinfeld & Pandis 2006, Ch. 12, Eqs. 12.122-12.123). - MassTransportLimitation
model
aerosol
transport
Mass transport limitation criteria for aqueous-phase chemistry (Seinfeld & Pandis 2006, Chapter 12, Eqs. 12.85, 12.86, 12.93). Computes the threshold values of k₁H* and k₁ below which gas-phase diffusion, aqueous-phase diffusion, and interfacial mass transfer do not limit the aqueous-phase reaction rate by more than 10%.
